An in-born artist, Avid, as he is called by friends and peers, is a virtual picture of a painter abloom in visual-arts horizon. His recent trip to New York where he displayed his paintings along with some noted Filipino artists in a group exhibit sponsored by Philippine Airlines must have added luster to his creative brilliance. Commissioned portraits that came his way while still in the Big Apple manifest the growing appreciation of his work which now exudes the warmth and deft and discipline gained after touring art galleries in California following the exhibits.
